Vista Ult 64bit and setting IE7 64bit as default?

I have an application that when launched calls a http site. The problem I
have is that the defaut browser is IE7 32bit and I get prompted for pass
through creds. Now if I open the same http site in IE7 64bit- I enter
without puttings in my creds.

BTW- the application is Microsoft Virtual Server :-).

If I open a VS from the webpage it asks for negotiate creds. If I launch
thsi line instead I can open up the VS's without being prompted for creds:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
http://vista64/VirtualServer/VSWebApp.exe?view=1

Notice that it;s missing the (x86) :-)
