| activex control I went to www.time.gov and IE7 blocked the unsigned activex control. So I went into security settings in options and chose "custom level." Then I changed "download unsigned activex controls" to prompt. I then refreshed time.gov and it asked me if I wanted to install the activex control. I clicked on "install" and it went away and did nothing. I tried at least five times and got the same response from IE7. Let me install what I want!!! ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. | Re: activex control This problem happened to me as well. I fixed it by updating Java. On the time display window there is a button labelled "Problems? Questions?" If you click on it, it redirects you to a troubleshooting page. On that page is a link (download of java) that will take you to the update page. |
