What happened to my newsgroups. MSIExplorer 7 does not have a menu for
viewing newsgroups???

Outlook Express is where you find your newsgroups in XP. Windows Mail/Live
Mail in Vista.

Because for some reason MS are trying to drive eneryone to view (MS)
newsgroups through the horrible web interface.....Why, I have NO idea!

IE6 didn't either.

No version of IE had a menu for newsgroups back to at least version 3. If
you had one it was an add-on.
Try Outlook Express of Windows Mail.

The functionality of the Mail button in IE7/WinXP has been changed and
reduced.

The Mail button no longer appears on the toolbar, and there are changes in
the way that you access mail-related functionalities in IE7
