Problem with IE7 menu

After the most recent Windows updates were installed on my machine, I cannot
access the menu of IE7 (I mean file, edit, view etc) by using Alt key.
My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium edition.

Thanks

What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work even in IE7(without Add-ons).

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Internet Explorer Settings.

Re: Problem with IE7 menu

Reset IE 7 and that did not solve the problem. The check mark remains in
front of Menu Bar and will not uncheck.

Checked menu bar and was able to display permanently the menu bar for several
months and now it has disappeared. The check mark is still there and will not
uncheck. Other check marks like lock the toolbar will check and uncheck. ALT
does not do anything.

Running Window Vista Home Premium and have with no add-ons.
