| Send page by email - problem with forms. When you send a page by email using send to - if there are forms on the page (like a search form) IE does not properly handle forms it includes hidden fields and messes up the layout of the page. See bphope.jayson-blair.com --- attempt to email the page and you will see that the search form hidden fields are displayed and the body text is scewed as a result - pushed down on the page. This does not happen with Firefox, Netscape, or Opera - I have tested all three - only IE. 7.0 has the problem. Please fix - having complaints from users of the site. | Re: Send page by email - problem with forms. I am also having this problem in IE7 but it works in IE6. This is on an intranet web site. Basically if you open a Word document in IE7 that is a form and I believe if its not a form the document does not get converted to an attachment as it did in IE6 but instead opens up the Word file binary content. Is there a fix for this yet? | Re: Send page by email - problem with forms. So the page where MailTo is being invoked is your own webpage. Can you cite a URL for it? What application did you use to compose the HTML webpage? gpat wrote: > i don't think so it has anything to do with yahoo toolbar . the page > looks > fine in web browser. | try it on this very page! File\Send\Page by Email There is one field at the very top right, that shoudn't show up. It's got a long value in it like maybe a session variable or something. Is there a style we can use somewhere that says to not include these fields when sending page by email? |
