| Links bar moves in new tab I'm using IE7, and have locked my toolbars. The first window that I open has the links bar in a separate line, which is how I want it. However, when I open a new tab, the Links Bar gets moved to the extreme right of the menu bar, with only the word "Links >>" visible. It still says that the toolbars are locked. How can I stop this behavior, and have the new tab with the same toolbars as the original window? TIA. |

| Re: Links bar moves in new tab Now this is really strange. I followed your 1st suggestion, and ran IE7 in No Add-ons mode, and that seemed to take care of the problem. On reading the additional information in the link you provided, I thought the problem was Roboform, as it was one of the add-ons listed. Before I started taking each add-on off as the article suggested, I closed IE, and reopened it (with add-ons), and now, the links work just fine in the additional tabs! What seems to have been affected is the Adobe PDF add-on, which shows up in the first tab, but not in the subsequent tabs. When I right-click on the status bar, it is checked when I'm on the 1st tab, but unchecked on subsequent tabs. I even rebooted, and this behavior persists. Strage, huh? Altho' it does solve my problem, as I don't think I've ever used it, and will probably just remove it. So, thanks for your help--problem effectively solved, altho' in mysterious ways! By the way, the moniker is because our function in life is to be the proud parents of Bear, our miniature poodle! Thanks. "PA Bear" wrote: > 1.
