| RE: Lost IE7 Tab functions oops.... fixed it. Forgot I had edited a registry key while I was testing some group policy settings; set the key "ClassicShell" to 1. Changed it back all is well! | Re: Lost IE7 Tab functions 1. Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode? To start IE7 in No Add-ons mode: Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons; or Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No add-ons). More: Troubleshooting and Internet Explorer’s (No Add-ons) Mode: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/07/25/678113.aspx 2. Does the problem persist if you Reset IE7 Settings (RIES)? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 <= Read before using! -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin; DTS-L.org TravisGez wrote: > Problem: Lost ability to use tabs in IE7, option "File -> New Tab" is > greyed > out in menu > > Details: > -All settings are default under Internet Options, General, Tab Settings > -No recent changes to system, just started up IE one day and realized tab > abilities were gone!!!! > > System: XP Pro SP2 (all updates), IE7, everything legit (company machine) |
