When I try to open a new tab, or when I click a link that opens a new tab or
IE window, it takes literally 4-5 seconds for that tab/window to open (before
it starts d/l information). Obviously this becomes annoying very fast. It
didn't do this when I first installed IE7 but started a couple days later. A
re-install did not help.

I have the google search bar installed and an old Roboform program.

Is your "old Roboform program" compatible with IE 7?

nm... found it. By eliminating my add-ons one by one I found that Sun Java
was the culprit. What a surprise, microsoft not working with java, java not
working with microsoft. Guess I have to uninstall Java.

All add-ons must load every time you open a new IE7 tab or window,
therefore...

"Guess I have to uninstall Java"

Good idea, and then install the most recent version of Java. Works fine
with IE 7.
