IE7 freezing

Since the installation of the last IE7 update it appears to randomly no
longer load any pages. I initially resolved the issue by reinstallation but
it has now reappeared. It appears to not be resolving DNS searches, but when
I typed in a numerical DNS for my router it once again failed. Bottom line
is I can't get onto any websites in IE7 but Firefox still works fine.

Re: IE7 freezing

In your firewall you need to allow Internet Explorer to access
192.168.0.1. The easy way is to close IE, remove all permissions for
Internet Explorer in your firewall, close your firewall, open IE and
respond to your firewall's prompt(s).

One of the recent updates updated Internet Explorer (931768, IIRC). To
your firewall Internet Explorer looks like a changed or even a new program.

My firewall had indeed set up a rule to block IE7. This is mostly my kids
computer and it may have even asked about permission rights and they
responded wrong. Thanks.

Re: IE7 freezing

Glad to help. I learned that lesson several years ago, the hard way. ;-)
