Disabling Ctrl+W (close window) possible?

I use Ctrl+W to "select word" for coding often. But, this closes a
browser window, so when I'm typing something in a web form, and
instinctively use it, I lose my work! What a horrible design flaw!

Can I disable it for IE 6.0 / 7.0?
