I have 5 website that I open whenever I start IE. These sites open as tabs on
IE. Everything was working fine. Today I added two of these sites to Trusted
Sites since I know them to be secure and they were having some issues with
Protected Mode turned on.

Now whenever I start IE, two instances of IE open up. One instance has three
tabs which display the non-trusted sites and the second instance has two tabs
which display the trusted sites.

Is this the expected behavior? I would think that it is a means of providing
isolation between protected mode off and protected mode on but I think there
should have been a better way to achieve this isolation than opening up two
instances of IE.
