Windows Explorer for Viewing Websites

I use to be able to enter an http address in Windows Explorer and get that
to work. Now that IE7 is installed, IE7 is invoked when I try this. Why is
this? Can I change this so that IE7 does not come up when I don't want it
to.

Also, IE7 makes it very difficult to enter and ftp address. Why is this. I
should be able to enter an ftp address and get login screen. IE7 won't do
this. Why?

Good news: please use Windows Explorer, even better, use a Network Place.
Switch on FTP folder view in IE7 options before using WE, though!

internet options, advanced
There's an option to switch on folderview for FTP outside of IE7. If that
is not switched on you don't get folder view in WE for FTP. You probably
have already switched it on.
