| unsolvable error - please assist!? Out of the blue, when I open FP2003, I get an error. Doesn't happen right after I open FP, but when I open a webpage to edit and about a couple of minutes into it, the error comes about. Error reads as : FrontPage error application error "0x041b339a" referenced memory at "0x042820d8". It then asks me if I want to debug or not. Debugging does no good. The it might pop up with something that says: error: runtime error 216 at 041B339A I searched the MS site, but found nothing and searched Google as well, but nothing. Can anyone please assist with this? If this continues and I end up reinstalling, will I have to install all of my plugins again as well? Am trying to avoid having to do this. It happens on more than just the one page as well. Thanks for any help you can provide! |

Have you looked for other clues, e.g. other log files? Entries in the Application Event log? Etc. Are there any other diagnostics you could enable in that product? BTW I recently became aware of HTML diagnostic files that Office products create in the TIF. You could check on that possibility by opening the TIF Viewer (e.g. in IE press Alt-T,O,Alt-S,V) then look for file which were added last (e.g. set the view to Details, and order the listed entries by Last Accessed) If you find one which looks something like ...Error...htm just drag it to an open Notepad window to see if that gives you any more clues about your problem. > > I searched the MS site, but found nothing and searched Google as well, but > nothing. > > Can anyone please assist with this? Perhaps your machine is infected? <eg> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259279 (Live Search for 216 runtime ) <quote> This issue can occur if your computer is infected with a SubSeven Trojan virus. </quote> Other third-party incompatibilities? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/189989/ <quote> This issue can occur if you are running the Oakley SmartWheel version 1.0 mouse driver. </quote> Etc. > > If this continues and I end up reinstalling, will I have to install all of > my plugins again as well? | Re: unsolvable error - please assist!? Try this: Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download FP Cleaner ( with Expression Web Designer and SharePoint Designer support ) Download links are at the bottom of the page. Run the functions that clear: The Hidden Temporary files. The Hidden Cache (*.web) files. See if it helps. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage FP Cleaner http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm Hit Me FP http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/HitMeFP.htm "Robert Aldwinckle" <robald@techemail.com> wrote in message news:%23rEdXMseHHA.4020@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > (cross-post added to Frontpage Client) > "Mark G." <askmefirst@comcast.net> wrote in message > news:eJ8K4RneHHA.4064@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> Out of the blue, when I open FP2003, I get an error.
