When I send an email to my groups they receive mail with garbage down the
page. I've tried writing in word then copy/paste, attachments and typing
directly in IE 7 with the same results.

Hi,

Check your language setting in Internet Options> General. If you're using
English (US) make sure that it's at the top of the list. Remove languages
that you don't use.

Check Internet Explorer> View> Encoding. Try (first) Western European
(Windows) or (2nd) Autoselect.

Is speech recognition picking up music or backgound sounds? (Search Windows
Help for speech recognition.)
