| firefox 3.0 is apparently on the way. I mostly use ie7 over firefox 2, although firefox has a couple of things that I like better. The text sizer and zoomer produce superior results, and I still haven't figured out how to induce ie7 to resume when it ws last opened. Other than that there is not so much one way or another between them. One reason I use ie7 is because of msdn downloads, which don't work right in firefox. I'm afraid firefox 3 is going to be overkill, heavy, weighty, doing gobs of things I don't need. That's why I have no add-ons for either browser. dennist |

| Re: firefox 3.0 Hi Dennis, FF has an extension addon called IEtabs that embeds the MSIE web browser control inside a page to allow you to view web pages using the IE rendering engine. I just downloaded the Netscape v8 browser, which has IE emulation (active embedded IE) built-in. They are both fine browsers, but as a commercial alternative to IE, they lack the extensibility, ActiveX and security certificate support that is built-in to IE. It is ironic that non MSIE browsers are now offering IE emulation as an extension or built-in to their browsers, while IE7 is being accused of being an FF2 copy. I am surprised that you perfer the FF text resizer to the zoom features of IE7 (If you are having problems with text sizes on web pages, switch the option on the General tab of Internet Options, Accessibility button, to "Ignore font sizes specified on web pages", and as required use the ctrl+mouse wheel shortcut to zoom-in and zoom-out of pages. I think this feature has been recently improved as this has not always been the case. Regards.
