OS: Visa Business and IE 7.0
Problem: Everytime I try to drag a URL to the desktop, it creates a generic
looking icon without the destination URL address. I have disable the virus
software, McAfee 8.5 but that did not change the behavior. The is a new IBM
T60 that I just started using. Have only installed updates from MS and IBM
web sites and McAfee software

Uninstall McAfee.
Don't install Norton.
Install NOD32, Avast or AVG. The last two are free.
