Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error. 1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ist/webdev.asp Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en 2. | Re: Getting Line:1 Erro: Invalid character error in IE 7.0 Hi Sachin, I didn't get any error messages with 'show all scripting errors' turned on. Check your firewall(any productivity control options?) or Hosts file entries. The page is full of external links (to adverts and external scripts etc) that may be being blocked on your 'puter. | Re: Getting Line:1 Erro: Invalid character error in IE 7.0 Invalid character means in MS terminology "file doesn't exist". This may happen, if you specified wrong file path or if IE is unable to open a file due to security restrictions built into the browser. The security is tighter in IE7, that's why you get more errors in the new version "Sachin" <Sachin@discussions.microsoft.com> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:81A943C6-CF5B-48E0-8A8A-901F7142B77F@microsoft.com... >I always get the mentioned error for most of the web pages in IE 7 and I > didn't get see this error while browsing in IE 6.0 or Firefox. > > For e.g. link I am trying to open is : > http://www.javaworld.com/javaforums/...38&an=0&page=0 > and everytime this javascript error pops up.
