| Re: IE 7 and multiple users Hi, I've got this problem on one of the machines in my office. I think the problem is much more insideous than this - it looks to me like javascript is not working *at all* in the other user's profiles - running the suggested registry fix simply gives a "perceived" workaround, as it masks the fact that the runonce page blows up. Whenever the user needs to use any form of javascript in the future they will not be able to. This is a really big issue here, because the machine in question belongs to a developer working on an ASP.NET project, which relies quite heavily on javascript - this makes the machine unusable. I have checked all the obvious things, such as active scripting being disabled, running with no-addons, etc, but everything seems to be configured correctly. I even got another user to log onto the machine - javascript did not work for them either, yet when the original user of the laptop logged on, everything works fine. Any suggestions? | Re: IE 7 and multiple users Thanks Don, Windows XP. I haven't seen a Runonce page. Seems to be Javascript isn't working for some users (all except the first user). If I double click the error messge at the lower right of the screen I get a message that references scirpt error but nothing more. All seemed to be going well until I upgraded the Norton free trial version to Norton 360. | Re: IE 7 and multiple users 1. Uninstall all Norton software via Add/Remove Programs. 2. Enable the Windows Firewall. 3. Run this removal tool: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...05033108162039 4. Immediately install the 30-day free trial version of, e.g., NOD32* or KAV7** 5. Manually update your new anti-virus application then run a full system scan. Do your problems persist now?
