IE7 shutdown notice

My friend says when he closes IE-7 a window always pops up and says
(basically) "Internet Explorer is experiencing a problem and has had to
close." He clears the notice and everything works fine. IE7 starts up next
time normally but every time he exits IE7 he gets that notice.

I think I recall seeing that here before and that there is a means to stop
that notice.

Disable all add ons, then enable them one at a time until the problem
re -occurs. The last enabled add on will be the incompatible one.

This is NOT the solution. I did a clean install (with a format prior to
that), with no other software installed, no add-ons, Vista approved hardware
and drivers and I get this problem with the first website I'm trying to
open, it drives me nuts.
Surely Microsoft should do something about this, considering the number of
people reporting this problem.

Re: IE7 shutdown notice

Thanks, Jim. I had him do what you recommended and it fixed his problem.
