| IE7 returning incorrect version number to JavaScript I am constructing a webpage, with some basic Javascript. The script changes depending upon the browser being used. When I use this code... parseInt(navigator.appVersion) ....the number returned is '4'. With this being IE version 7, this is clearly wrong. A lot of websites rely on knowing the browser version, so I would say this is a pretty urgent (and easy!) fix for Microsoft to make. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. | Re: IE7 returning incorrect version number to JavaScript Hi TJT, And what is returned with version 6? What is returned by FireFox? Check your idiom. See the following link http://ajaxian.com/archives/detecting-ie7-in-javascript Regards.
