Thanks for reply I did as you stated, and in safe mode, a window opened, not
with a blank page or ie page but with my bt homepage, the header on the top
of the window read,"
bt yahoo homepage-microsoft internet explorer provided by bt yahoo!
broadband"
but when I restarted computer and tried to open ie page the same thing still
happens a blank page comes up, showing connecting ,and then it just hangs
there, and the only way to close window is via task manager, end process,
although applications on task manager show no applications are running I hope
I am explaining myself well enough and I dont know if it has anything to do
with it , but the new computer also came with 3 mnth free norton av
