First you need to figure out what "this" is. E.g. clearly something is wrong but without doing some analysis I doubt if you will be able to find a satisfactory "fix". E.g. is it a presentation issue or a storage issue? (Hmm.. this is starting to have a ring of deja vu...) Yes. It appears that there is a unresolved problem with the presentation of such large History caches. I started speculating that mystery value CacheLimit might have something to do with it but I suspect now that it doesn't. In that case perhaps there is another unused and undocumented tuning value which could be discovered using a RegMon trace? http://groups.google.com/group/micro...a32decbba41f17 Apparently this will be at least the third time that I have suggested the poster experiment to figure out how the History's Extensible Cache really works... ; ) Good luck Robert Aldwinckle --- |

However, since I didn't encounter this with IE5 or IE6, all of my queries included IE7, which is where the problem began for me. I did not notice the previous thread in my results. Having said that, I read the entire thread without comprehending much of it. I thought I had clearly defined what 'this' is and I have no idea what a RegMon trace is or what Extensible Cache means. So please except my apologies again for having bothered you. Mike |
