| Re: Anti-phishing and quicktime plugin incompaibility The poster in that discussion group said that he||she turned off "Norton Internet Security 2007" phishing filter to solve the problem, not the IE7 phising filter. Do you use such a third party phishing filter, and did you try turning it off? Did you try turning off the IE7 phishing filter, and if you did, did that solve you problem? I have no problems viewing Quicktime movies in the IE7 Browser with the IE7 phishing filter turned either on or off. Are you quite sure these are Quicktime movies(.mov) and not Flash videos that you are unable to view? Can you supply a link to such a site that you are unable to view the files on? Others posting here have said that they resolved their Quicktime problems by uninstalling the Quicktime player(via ADD||Remove programs), and then downloading and re-installing the latest version from here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html Have you tried this approach? | Re: Anti-phishing and quicktime plugin incompaibility Hi Zarkor, Well, I guess you should consider yourself lucky if you can view the movie trailers at that site under any condition. I have four machines here all with Windows XP SP2, two machines with IE6 and two with IE7 installed. Three of the machines have the latest version of the Quicktime Player installed on them and one has the Quicktime Alternative installed on it, and I am "not able" to view any of the trailers at that site. So I am unable to test your theory about the Phishing Filter causing the problem in IE7, because I can't view any of the Trailers here with IE6 or IE7. Or for that matter with Avant or Firefox. Quicktime simply stops responding with the Quicktime Icon with a Question mark in it on all my machines here when I click on one the trailers at that site, the .mov file simply does not download. I can only assume this is because of a problem connecting to the server that's dishing up the .mov file. I'm stuck with a dialup connection here so I generally don't visit a site such as the one you posted for obvious reasons. So I thought I'd give it a shot after you posted the link, unfortunately, I'm unable to view the trailers regardless of Browser Brand, Brower version, or Quicktime plugin. Consider yourself lucky;) Donald Anadell "zarkor" <zarkor@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:43BEB13C-7192-42CE-911E-FD79A6E7165A@microsoft.com... > > > "Donald Anadell" wrote: > >> The poster in that discussion group said that he||she turned off "Norton >> Internet Security 2007" phishing filter to solve the problem, not the IE7 >> phising filter.
