vista memory upgrade

I just bought a Compaq PC SR5110NX 3800 from Frys. It came ready to go out of the box with Vista Basic. It came with 512 of RAM. I purchased the correct Kingston 1 GB PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2. I confirmed this was correct from the Kingston website as well. When I installed the 1 GB and started the computer, I received the following message:

"Windows Resume Loader

Your system's memory configuration has changed since it entered hibernation. If you proceed, the data needed to resume from hibernation will be lost. To preserve this data, turn off the system power, restore the orginal memory configuration and reboot the system. Otherwise, press <enter> to delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.

Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu."

Anytime I have updated memory in the past I have never seen this message. I have a pretty simple understanding of computers and anytime I see a message with "restoration data" I'm worried to proceed. The computer was not in "hibernation mode" during the installation.

I called Compaq and of course got someone in India. After doing everything she told me to do, nothing worked, however, after 66 minutes, I asked her the question a different way and she told me to go ahead and hit enter. Am I confused or scared of nothing? If I hit enter will I destroy some needed data or is it simply saying that the 512 MB memory restoration data will be destroyed and updated with the new 1 GB?

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Frustrated in Moon Valley.
