| Inspiron 6000 CD Drive does not work/is not recognized I've had my Inspiron 6000 for a year and I tried to install important software the other day from the CD drive, but thd drive doesn't work! The system doesn't recognize it at all. I don't know how long this has been going on because I very rarely use the CD drive. I do recall that about three months ago (or so) the Add Hardware wizard came up automatically saying a new CD drive was found on your computer, which I thought was kind of strange. I hit Cancel because I didn't think much of it at the time, but maybe it is related to the problem?      |
