search problems

I've had a problem for quite some time with "searches". For example, if I do
a Google search for "apples", I'll get the usual list of results. I'll pick
one, click on it, and instead of going to the site that I picked, I'll get
some other site. I'll go back and click again, and get another site. The
THIRD try, I'll usually get the site that I requested.

I run AVG Free, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Windows defender, and CW Shredder
regularly. Just can't seem to get rid of this problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Download and examine the results from Hijackthis.exe
It will show you everything that is starting through the registry. You
will be able to pick and choose or restore everything controlling your
system.
