Who needs a computer when you have Webtv? It does everything you need.

I needed a computer. WebTV never did everything I needed when I had it, and
it does even less now. And it's because WebTV grew increasingly behind the
times, that I sprung for the PC. Kept both the PC and WebTV on the one plan,
but eventually the WebTV was used less and less. Dropped it when I switched
the PC from dial-up to broadband.

I just made my first movie using Windows Movie Maker 2, and Windows XP Media
Plus add-ons for Movie Maker 2. Made title, credits, transitions; got a cute
little clip of my kitty at play. Can't do that with WebTV. I do all of my
own digital photography editing using Adobe Photoshop Elements, and create
graphics using JASC Paint Shop Pro. WebTV doesn't allow me to do those
things. I can download and enjoy the latest rich media content, in the form,
of movies, video, and picture story boards. WebTV doesn't allow me to do
that. Copy and burn CD's, transfer music from cassette tape to CD, download
MP3 files, do desktop publishing, create spreadsheets, create and print
various media, and so much more. Not with WebTV. WebTV may do everything
_you_ need, but it doesn't do what I need. Doesn't even come close...

The people at webtv watch everything you do on your computer,
Harry. If you don't mind being exposed to them they do it all for you
and watch your every keystroke as well.
If you don't mind the lack of privacy and the occasional asshole for an
employee who will actually tamper with your website it's a great
system. Also join the army and visit Iraq!

Wow, Carol! Most people get a webtv because they are computer
illiterate.
