Google Groups problem

Why doesn't Google Groups display alt.binaries for me? Is this problem
unique to me or does it happen to everyone?

everyone. i think google doesn't archive attachments in the standard
usenet groups

but I have seen attachments in some of the newer google groups. I
think a group like the following isn't usenet
http://groups.google.co.uk/group/net...?lnk=srg&hl=en
I did see an attachment on it once. i'm not sure
not sure at all!
