| Office XP compatable w/ EMachine? My husband bought an EMachine 3 months ago. His 90 day free trial of Office expired and he had an option to buy it. Since I have Office XP, I removed Office from his computer. I then installed Office XP on his computer. I can't get Outlook functioning properly. All the menu titles and items are different from Outlook's and the menu does NOT contain "File/Import." (I saved his outlook.pst file.) What in the world is going on? Is my Office XP not compatable with his EMachine? (I've NEVER worked with an EMachine before.) THANKS! Editor7659 |

The problem is the same as I had on my old computer. Office is compatible with all systems with Windows. Your system is fairly new so XP is a sure-fire compatible program on it. You could try re-installing office. If that does not work, try going to view, and clicking customize. AKA: Installing Office XP on two systems without removing it first from the first system is illegal without a special license from Microsoft that can be obtained for about $100 US -Dr. Money |
