| Re: Shutting down with xp i have to click2 and stand by mode is not working ? I would start by going to the control panel, power options. See if your control settings have changed. <blackmambra64******.com> wrote in message news:1144245848.295470.64930@t31g2000cwb.googlegro ups.com... > When i click the shutt down menu i have to do it 2 and the stand by > mode is not accessable.....i need some help plz. | Re: Shutting down with xp i have to click2 and stand by mode is not working ? I've seen computers that have this same problem. Each one was a laptop, connected via a docking port, and network connected. My understanding was that the problem was a result of how they disconnected from the network. Resulted from a unique combination: still be logged in, removing the docking port with network adapter 1, and then expecting the wireless card in the laptop to pick up the network connection. There was no pain, you just suddenly have to click off twice to exit. My question to you: is this a laptop? Did/was it connected to a docking station? dr -- dr.news //stores.ebay.com/better-price-wireless (not better than you deserve, just more than you are used to) "LB" <writerz01******.com> wrote in message news:w_ZYf.767$5k1.584@fed1read06...
