| Re: psu problems Was sure I had everything hooked up right. one cable was a bit of a stretch but it just reached(ocz520 modstream psu barely makes there cables long enough for the antec p180 case) everything seems to be hooked up and in the right spot for the mobo (24 pin power plug) and one to the top left corner of mobo, the pci-e power to video was hooked up. had it set up on the table(not in case) and had a vocal post with out ram one long two short beeps...hard drive and dvdrw were not hooked up at this time either. that code isn't in the mobo manual. put in ram and no post, and blank monitor. everything has power though near as I can tell. all fans spinning and led in corner of mobo is lit Will try a piece by piece again once kids are asleep and out of the way (lot less stress :) ) Been reading here and there that others are having bios problems with these boards and reding the 9xx dual core cpu's and a possible fix is to flash bios BUT doesn't do me a lot of good as I have no spare parts that fit the new system other than a pci sound card other parts are for a P166, way to ancient to even look at. any input apprecciated......... mike >> pentium d 930 >> asus p5ld2 deluxe >> evga 7800 co se >> 2x crucial 1gb pc2 4200 ddr ram >> ocz 520 modstream psu >> antec P180 case |
