| Questions about making spread sheets and printer compatability Hello, I am ABSOLUTELY dumb when it comes to computers. We have a webtv but my daughter was given this computer (AST adventure 200) for the purpose of making spread sheets. Is that possible? A spread sheet with about 6-7 columns and the capability of naming the columns (name, address, phone, etc.) Also, what is a cheap printer that would be compatible? We dont have internet access to it.Daughter says we dont need it for spread sheets....is she right? Do we need special programming? Were hoping to have to put no money into it...if possible. It appears to work fine. I would appreciate it if someone could patiently walk me thru this spread sheet process. Thanks SO,SO Much!!! Breezy |

| Re: Questions about making spread sheets and printer compatability You do not need internet for a spreadsheet. MS Excel is a spreadsheet program that comes with Microsoft Office. You can change the size of each column to fit on the page so any printer will do (I recommend a cheap Lexmark for school work). If you do not have a spreadsheet program there are many free ones that you could download from the internet (in which case you would need internet access to get them, but not once they are installed). If you can save information on a floppy or CD with your WebTV you could download it that way (I don't remember if the WebTV had any external disk access though). She could also use the local school or library to get access to download the file needed A good start would be www.download.com |
