anyway to find out if Office 2003 CD has been used?

Does anyone know of a way that you can tell if an office 2003 CD has been
used and activated? (besides actually trying to install and activate it
yourself?) a customer of mine sent me back an office 2003 CD saying it
wasn't what she ordered, but I'm trying to find out if she did install it
and activate it or not.

Re: anyway to find out if Office 2003 CD has been used?

you could contact Microsoft and ask if it has been registered. Better idea
is that if it's been opened assume it has been activated and tell her that
you only accept unopened software for return. It looks to me the only way is
to call and check with Microsoft based on their website...good luck getting
through

Call Microsoft. If it has been used, find out it the past installation
have been uninstalled before you use it or you could face a class action
lawsuit and fines for using illegal software.
