IBM Thinkpad

I have an IBM Thinkpad 380XD and my display is only in the center of the
screen. The resolution is 640x480 using a standard VGA graphics adapter. I
am using Windows 98 SE and need to be able to change this to a FULL screen.
If anyone can help me to do this I would appreciate it. This laptop had a
virus in it and I obtained it for free, so I reformatted the hard drive and
installed Windows 98SE. I do not have the original IBM Disks for this, so
any help would be welcomed. Please email kb2sin@stny.rr.com
Thanks
Bill

Re: IBM Thinkpad

Bill: I suspect you need the correct driver for your video adapter. To
determine which you have check the Device Manager. Then Google IBM's
sites for the driver.

In addition to the correct video driver, I've found a lot of older IBM
laptops also require a display resolution driver.

Re: IBM Thinkpad

Go to the ibm web site, and in the search bar enter your model number.
(something like 1254-32u). This will bring up a summary list of links, and
the top one is usually your link to support, documentation and drivers. Use
it all the time.

If you system was working BEFORE the virus, then it is most likely a
file/driver that is now missing. dr
