| fried mobo? I installed a athlon 2000+ in a GA-7ZX mobo (which was running with a 900 mhz processor) and got no post or beep codes, only fans and a green light on the board respond. I found out later that the 2000+ was shorted(0 ohms on the multi-meter). Now the Ga-7zx will not post and there are no beep codes with or without cpu and memory or drives. The 900 mhz processor is cracked (explains why it was unstable?) and can't be trusted, so the only other processor that I have to test with (known to be good) is a athlon 1500. No post no beep. By the way, the original power supply is a 130W. I have a 450w p1-4/amd ps ordered and will try that. The short question is: did I fry the mobo with the shorted processor? If not what am I missing?
