Boot from CD (problems)

Heya.
I'm going to reformat my HD and reinstall windows, etc...

I'm trying to boot from CD, but it doesn't work. The BIOS is right,
and the CD works fine in windows (it autoruns) but it doesn't boot from
the CD.
I'm trying to use a CD that I created by doing the 'slipstream with
SP2' thingy (see here:
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...slipstream.asp)
but I think I may have done something wrong.

However... I was wondering whether the CD would work if I use the
bootdisk method (using floppys to start with, then run the CD manually)
or whether the CD doesn't work fullstop.

If there's no solution I'll just use my normal XP CD, just this
will save time.

Re: Boot from CD (problems)

This is the guide I used to slipstream my CD. Make sure you didn't miss
one of the steps there. My first try I missed the most important part
(getting the .img using an ISO editor).

The guide calls for ISOBuster, which is good. I used WinISO, which is
not free, but easier to use (my opinion).

Hope it helps. It really seems that the CD itself is the problem.

Should work w/correct bootdisk set.Go here and pick either home Sp2 or Pro
sp2.You'll need 6 floppies.
