Re: Re-Sizing Partitions?

Hello Travis,
I've heard so many bad experiance with freeware software, so won't
recommend you to run risks.
I use Acronis Disk Director
[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing...diskdirector/] it's just
perfect for partition managing.
I safely resize my bootable partition and create another for the second
OS.
Really comfotable due to intuitive windows wizard and step by step
prompts.

Re-Sizing Partitions?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150, and I'm installing linux on the computer (or
trying to) and I have three partitions, The System Restore with only takes
39MB, the Actual Windows XP systeam (34GB) and the CMOS or BIOS (7 or 8MB).
I only have 7MB of actually space, so when I select to create a new
partition for linux, It says I only have 7MB of space left. I want to get a
least 4GB for linux. I know I can buy a new harddrive but I have a laptop
and it's difficult and I also know about USB Drives but I would rather use
that as a last resort.

I want to know if I can resize my Windows XP partition at least 5GB smaller
in size. I'm not willing to pay for software, demos and trials work fine for
me.

If you don't want to read this long message:

1) Have Dell Laptop with Win XP
2) Have 3 partitions on computer and want to install linux on a fourth
3) Don't have enough space
4) Want to resize Win XP partition to leave room for Linux partition
5) Will not pay money for software

Re: Re-Sizing Partitions?

Download and run LimeWire. Search for and download "Partition Magic". It
works.

LimeWire is an illegal warez shareing network and a scam virus giving
hack-net. I don't want to download 20MB because I have dial up
