memory allocation error

After running CheckIt diagnostics software for a memory test I received a
memory allocation error. I shut down all running programs and increased the
size of the virtual memory to various sizes and still get an error. Should I
trust this software? If so, what should I do next? I just bought the system.
I really shouldn't be having this problem. Right?

It's an extra feature on Norton SystemWorks. It would be the only test that
fails. Going to try the memtest. Thanks.

Used the memtest86. It answered my question. It seems everything is ok . It
passed all the tests that I ran up to 4.5 hrs. Boy what a test. You can
spend a lifetime on it. Thanks for the help.
