| Which Raid controller ? Hi all I have just purchased a new motherboard (Asus A8N-SLI Premium), I have two WD Raptor hard drives which I currently use in raid 0 (striping) for which I use a Adaptec 1210SA PCI controller card, The new motherboard has two inbuilt controllers "NVIDEA nForce" and "Silicon Image 3114R" would I be better off switching to one of the other controllers or stick with the adaptec. I intend to buy two Samsung Spinpoint hard drives in the near future for which I will then have to use one of the on-board controllers for the SataII which the adaptec does not support. any sensible suggestions welcome. |
