How do I........

I have videos on my PC and would like to link my computer to my TV to view
them. I was told to buy a S-Video cable and I did. It fits my TV but not
my PC.

Is there an adapter than I can buy to make it fit my PC. The cable I bought
has 4 pins and a - and my computer needs one with 8 pins and a |

Please let me know asap as I have company coming to look at family videos.
I may have to go and buy a DVD burner and player.

Thanks
Jacqueline

Re: How do I........

Hey JB,

You need a video card that has a SVideo out. It is unlikely that you can
ever buy a an S-Vid Adaptor unless your video card is equipped.

Re: How do I........

It depends on the video card you have. Odds are you need to buy a
different cable.

Re: How do I........

1.) you can buy a tv tuner card if you don't want to replace your video
card..
look for a card with video out..
many have just video capture..

2.) you can go the route of replacing the video card.. make sure you get one
with video out or preferrably with vivo so you could capture from a video
source.. newegg or other places have older style cards with vivo for 50 or
less.. or can search ebay..

vivo stands for video in / video out.
