Slow video from new 2nd drive....

posting for a friend

He has a 2.4 ghz with 512 mg ram.
His primary drive is a Seagate, and he installed a 100+ gig hard drive with
7200 rpm.
The problem is, when he copies a 2 gig file from one drive to the other it
took 28 minutes.
When he watches the movie on the primary drive it is fine, when he watches
from the 2nd drive it is choppy as hell.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

DMA. And get him to make sure he didn't put the drive on the same cable as a
CD or DVD.
