My desktop shut off randomly while I was using it. When it rebooted it came up to the:

If i select any of the 'safe mode' options, there is a long string of code and then it goes to the XP load screen and Blue Screen of Deaths. If I select Last Known Good Configuration, or Start windows normally it goes to the XP screen and then Blue Screen of Deaths.

I need a solution, or at least to know what the problem might be.

(Note: no new hardware or software has been installed by me recently. I do not have a windows XP Home Edition disc (although I do have a windows 7 one kicking around somewhere, which was not the computer's OS)
