Chieftec BX case - BEWARE

Chieftec may produce good cases, but unfortunately, they are very
dishonest and unclear in marketting their goods.

Their websites (.com and .de) claim that the BX case has removable HDD
rails. However, the BX case that I received does not.
When I emailed chieftec, I was told

"we proceeded it by running change"

I suppose that means that they revised the BX case, and the old version
does not have HDD rails as advertised.

I asked them, how should I know before buying, if the BX case is an
old version or a new version. Especially since no mention of 2 BX
versions is made on your website.

The response?

"We have printed the drawing of HDD cage on the carton, that might be
the way to identify it."

I wouldn't say "avoid chieftec" because they do make some good cases.
However, shouldn't expect such dishonesty and poor service after
parting with a fair amount of money.

I have used many chieftec cases and i am currently using a BX model It
is screwless and has removable HDD and FDD caddys as well as the quick
releasing Optical drives .. chieftec are budget cases and i payed no
more than £25 for it, It looks like a £100 case .. absouloutly no
complaints here .. bloody bargain I'd say. but I have not ordered any
for the last 6 months whether they have changed them in this time I
don't know. As for the customer service I have never used it I don't
deal with them direct, If it was not as described when I was purchasing
I would simply return it to the retailer.
