HP INTEL II

Have somebody that has a HP Intel II 333 with 32 MB RAM. Without looking
first is it worthwhile to see if it upgradable with more RAM? For as much as
they do it would not be worthwhile for them to upgrade to a faster computer.
The PC has got to be 7-8 years old.

Re: HP INTEL II

slam as much Ram into it as you can! it'll run like a whipet with maximum
ram... see if you cen get at least 128Mb and definately more if possible,
and maybe use a slightly larger HD to allow for swap space if you're going
to put anything bigger than WIN98 on it. old computers go slow mainly
because of waiting for memory transfers to and from a HD, unless if you're
trying to play games or watch DVDs 333 MHz is fast enough to do anything
office/internet like and as long as you fill all ram slots it will probably
be perfect, and hell cheap too!
