| Re: Drive Letter It is setup as primary master. When I installed xp I had my old drive as a slave and even though it was a slave it still read it as c: so when I installed xp it could not format it as C: so it made it F:. Will I have to reinstall it or can it be fixed. Or I can live with it "Wizard" <stop.spam@nic.br> wrote in message news:41D14734.27F3130@nic.br... > I suspect that you have the new drive on the secondary controller. > Rearrange your cabling properly. > > Brad Kraan wrote: > > > > I recently Installed a new harddrive and install xp on it and now the new > > harddive is labeled as F:.
