Drive Letter

I recently Installed a new harddrive and install xp on it and now the new
harddive is labeled as F:. Its the only hardrive in the system with 3
cdroms. Can the drive letter be changed to C:. Every thing works ok so if it
is not possible I will leave it alone.
Thanks

Re: Drive Letter

I suspect that you have the new drive on the secondary controller.
Rearrange your cabling properly.

Re: Drive Letter

It is setup as primary master. When I installed xp I had my old drive as a
slave and even though it was a slave it still read it as c: so when I
installed xp it could not format it as C: so it made it F:. Will I have to
reinstall it or can it be fixed. Or I can live with it
