| Toshiba Laptop 440 CDT A friend of mine ask me to take a look at her Toshiba Laptop 440 CDT.It starts Windows 95 but never gets to a desktop. I cannot get it to go to Safe Mode and it starts loading windows 95 only to the welcome screen, not desktop. What I wanted to do is install a windows 98 upgrade but this laptop has no floppy drive and I cannot use a rescue floppy. Any comments how you would proceed at this point? Putting the windows 98 se upgrade CD in the CD drive does not bring up its Install program.      |
