| a very silly question i took a 10 year hiatus and they invented the mouse and the internet, now i don't understand all kinds of simple stuff. can anyone explain why smaller programs, you click and run but heavy stuff you must install first? is "install" some kind of self-decompression before you can run a program? i don't program anymore and i quit with dos word processing tasks in 92. hence my "basics" ignorance. |
