Which Processor

Hi, I am looking to buy a new PC, I have a Gateway P3 866 at the
moment and I have always had Intel processors, I am now looking at two
Pc's with identical spec apart from the processor, one has the Intel®
Pentium 4 3.4GHz HT and the other has the AMD Athlon 64 3400
Processor. Can anyone give me their opinion on which one should I go
for. I use my PC for Internet, Quite intensive graphics apps, and
photo and video editing.
Many thanks
Mel..

Why do you say Intel ? .. its true the Intel runs at a higher clock speed
but AMD have a different approach and thats to get more done per clock
cycle.. its down to personal choice but as far as I am concerned the AMD
64 would be far more beneficial to you for a start it is 64 bit so it is
somewhat future proofed especially when you want to upgrade to the XP 64
bit operating system especially if you do GFX processing or whatever.

you could simply ask to see a demonstration model for each computer and
decide from that ...
