| One track fills a CD?? This must be a problem with a 'settings' or 'properties' tab. I burn a track to a new CD, and when I go to burn a new track onto the same CD, I get a message saying 'insert a new CD' or 'This CD is full'. This is getting pretty wasteful. Can someone help? Thanx. |

In DAO mode, all tracks are written in one go, and nothing more may be recorded on the CD (this is the most supported audio recording method -- see my comments below). Make sure that if you are in Track At Once mode, you don't have a "close this CD" option turned on. That also ends the option to record more on it. One more thing -- this depends on your recording program, but you may need to select an option for multisession recording, in order to make it read the existing tracks and allow you to add to them (this *always* applies when making a data CDROM, such as an mp3 CD). However, if you're using a computer to record an audio CD, or even a mp3 data CD, I recommend that you collect all the tracks in a folder, or anywhere convenient, before burning. Then, put all the tracks you want on the CD, in whatever order you want. Burn the entire CD at once -- recording method doesn't matter there, but I use DAO because some older CD players -- esp. car players -- don't always play track at once CDs smoothly (I don't like it when they skip or make scratchy sounds between the tracks). -- *-__Jeffery Jones__________| *Starfire* |____________________-* ** Muskego WI Access Channel 14/25 <http://www.execpc.com/~jeffsj/mach7/> *Starfire Design Studio* <http://www.starfiredesign.com/> |

He thinks he's burning in a mode that allows building up a CD track-by-track. Apparently he isn't. If the op wants to come back with details of just what he's doing in which program maybe I can help. Thanx. Get all your Windows Updates. Assuming that you're running WinXp, there was a bug in windows that stopped it from recognizing certain attributes of burned cds or letting you burn to multi session discs. |
