S/PDIF & Dolby

Hi, i'm building an HDTV computer which will also be my DVD player. The
MOtherboard I ordered "DFI 400-al" has onboard S/PDIF output (Coaxial). MY
reciever has a Coaxial input and my reciever can do Dolby 5.1 as well as
DTS. If I hook the Coaxial cord to my reciever from my computer, and I play
a DVD, will I get Dolby 5.1 surround sound if the DVD can produce it?

My question is, does S/PDIF mean it can't play Dolby and all my stuff will
be in 2.0 stereo? Or does S/PDIF play Dolby 5.1 without worry?

Thanks
